Key Competences

Introduction

Lifelong learning is crucial for adult learners to foster employability and civic development. The Erasmus+ adult sector project Key Competences (Creating a new way of improving the key competencies of adults) 2021-1-DE02-KA220-ADU00028281 aims to improve the key competencies of adults by creating upskilling pathways, increasing accessibility and promoting lifelong learning. The project focuses on developing the personal, social and learning to learn competencies of adult learners.

Presentation

The main target group for this project is adult learners from disadvantaged groups such as immigrants, refugees, the low-skilled, the disabled, the illiterate and the poorly educated. These groups often face challenges in adapting to their local community or obtaining employment. The project aims to address these challenges by creating minor training courses in digital format and making them easily accessible to the target group.

The project also includes a research component to understand the needs and learning strategies of the target group. Based on this research, the project team will develop a course curriculum that is tailored to the specific needs of the target group. The online learning environment will be created to provide learners with the tools and resources they need to chart their own learning path. The courses will be practiced to ensure that learners are equipped with the skills they need to succeed in their personal and professional lives.

Objective and Result

The project's final objective is to foster employability and social skills by offering new opportunities to adult learners with a low level of skills. The project team will also develop a dissemination strategy to ensure that the project results are widely shared and accessible to the target group and anyone who can benefit from them.

In conclusion, the Erasmus+ adult sector project 2021-1-DE02-KA220-ADU00028281 is an ambitious project that aims to improve the key competencies of adult learners from disadvantaged groups. By creating upskilling pathways, increasing accessibility and promoting lifelong learning, the project aims to address the challenges faced by these learners and help them to succeed in their personal and professional lives.
