The European Student Think Tank (EST) is an International Organization that involves young people in the European policy-making process and promotes the values of the European Union and Human Rights.
EST, (founded in 2010 and present in the 5 continents), is run by young people and for young people through events organizations, European affairs analysis, and working with a network of Ambassadors, who represent the EST across Europe. The approach is to build bridges between the EU and youth is based on three pillars: - Organizing activities tailored to their national context and cultivating integration among EU students. That liaises with civil society and institutions to collaborate - EST publications, enabling youth to express their views and providing a platform for student-led discussions. Every year, the EST publishes the European Policy Review, a peer-reviewed journal containing academic papers on a wide range of topics related to European Union policy - EST Working Groups conduct research on Environment, Security and Defense, Gender Equality, Youth Employment, Migration, and Public Policy, and Health. By integrating a multinational research team, the EST is positioned to issue a pan-European analysis on the aforementioned areas. Over 2016 the EST hosted a series of debates in the European Parliament in Brussels, in which we invited young people to discuss with policy-makers, diplomats, and politicians on issues ranging from youth engagement in European Politics and EU careers to gender equality and migration. In 2020, the EST co-organized a full day of virtual activities on Europe Day ranging from European musical shows to roundtables and debates.
