Every year thousands of students decide to apply to an Erasmus mobility. The reasons that push them to apply are numerous : the desire to try a new experience, to interface with a new culture and to get out of their comfort zone.

Driven by the desire to travel despite the pandemic situation, I decided, last September, to apply for an Erasmus+ Traineeship in Palma de Mallorca with the main objective to practice and improve my language skills. I could have never imagined that Palma would offer me much and this experience is completely exceeding my expectations!

Palma is a real students-city: clean, safe and well-organized. It's only been a month but I have already lived incredible experiences. Each day is different from the previous one and there is no time to get bored.

In the morning, I am doing my internship. Having tasks to complete and deadlines has made me more responsible. As well, managing groups of foreign students is helping me to be more confident and to develop my language skills. 

In the afternoons and weekends, I have a lot of free time, so it's important to make the most of it.

In fact, here I have the opportunity to live a 360-degree experience, share moments with students from all over the world, live unique adventures, discover the island, visit small villages, delve into the Mallorcan culture and try the typical local dishes.

In particular, two weeks ago thanks to our company partner Experience Mallorca and to  Marita our current intern, we tried Sea Caving. Miguel, the excursion guide, made the experience truly engaging and unforgettable. Providing us with the appropriate equipment and respecting all safety rules, he guided us inside the caves, explaining in detail every moment of the excursion. It was an incredible experience that I highly recommend students to try.

The city of Palma turned out to be the perfect destination to spend my traineeship. 
At the end, the covid situation is not crating insurmountable challenges, and the desire to leave for a new experience abroad is always growing. Coming here it was the best choice ever made!
