On the 9th of May, we celebrated the “day of Europe'' and the anniversary of the historic "Schuman declaration", the first step to the creation of an united European Union. Every year and in every Member States of the European Union, thousands of people take part in activities and events to celebrate this day and raise awareness regarding the EU and new European projects.
Every year thousands of students decide to apply to an Erasmus mobility. The reasons that push them to apply are numerous : the desire to try a new experience, to interface with a new culture and to get out of their comfort zone.
The pandemic has caused many difficulties, with a particular impact on Tourism. For one year-long now, tourism companies have been forced to limit their activities to minimum.
COVID-19 has really impacted our lives all over the world and the tourism sector is the most affected one. In Spain, hotels are forced to limit their activities and Erasmus+ trainees in the tourism field are suffering this lack of opportunity.
The conference “Erasmus+: bilan & perspectives” took place digitally on 14/01/2021. The main topics were wrapping up the 2014-2020 Erasmus+ results and presenting the new 2021-2027 challenges.
