The pandemic has caused many difficulties, with a particular impact on Tourism. For one year-long now, tourism companies have been forced to limit their activities to minimum. 

Many workers are currently in lay-off, consequently this situation affects students’ choice to take the advantage of an Erasmus+ mobility for Traineeship: trainees cannot be accepted if the hosting company has even one worker in lay-off. However, there is a promising sign in this challenging situation. The pandemic has caused many difficulties, with a particular impact on Tourism. However, there is a promising sign in this challenging situation. Recently, a significant drop in the number of cases has been observed on Mallorca Island. More and more venues are opening up and the economy is starting to revive. That creates new alternative opportunities for traineeships in the Tourism field. Therefore, Education in Progress is constantly active in providing its offers trying to find solutions and to create new opportunities.

That is why, Education In Progress SPAIN finds new very appealing hosting organizations in the Tourism field. Tourism activities are also focused on outdoors activities and we tracked some interesting opportunities that allow students to experience their Traineeship in a safe way. Here are some of our collaborators:

• Experience Mallorca - provides adventurous excursions for tourists led by professional staff (e.g. adventure trekking, canyoning, cliff jumping, climbing, scuba diving),
• Club Hipico Veracruz - provides horse riding excursions and classes,
• BonaOna Surf School - provides water-sports, activities and excursions like surfing, stand up paddle, and windsurfing.

Nevertheless, we definitely don’t stop now! Many other fantastic companies, that we are constantly in contact with, are waiting for their new trainees.
